MEDICAL RECORDS MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS COORDINATOR – FULL TIME (32.5 HOURS)

Maplewood utilizes a fully integrated electronic medical records system. In addition, we rely heavily on an internal intranet product to communicate among our team members. We are looking for an organized and energetic individual to assume primary responsibility for the oversight of this software as well as other activities around handling data that flows in and of the facility.

Duties to include – but not limited to:

  • Maintain all resident electronic health records, ensure the medical records are organized, accurate and complete.
  • Create digital copies of paperwork and store the records electronically.
  • Must safeguard resident records and ensure that everyone complies with the HIPPA Standards.
  • Transfer data into the facilities medical records system from third party vendors.
  • Process records for admitting and discharging residents.
  • Transmit relevant documents to insurance agencies, or other various entities who request medical records.
  • Will be responsible for setting up new employees on various electronic systems.
  • Show new employees how to log in to the various computer systems.
  • Will work closely with all staff and the medical providers that come into the facility.

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred, years of experience will be taken into consideration.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the healthcare field.
  • Must have strong IT skills.
  • Have a strong desire for constant learning and be a team player.
  • Need to be detail oriented and have strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal and great communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently, have good time management skills, be a go getter and utilize good judgement.

NURSING – RN, FULL TIME AND PART TIME AVAILBLE

We have openings for part time and full time nurses. All shifts available. Every other weekend required. No mandates.

We have openings for part time and full time nurses. All shifts available. Every other weekend required. No mandates.

NURSING – CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANTS

We have several full time and part-time openings for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our care team. Day and evening shifts available. If you have a passion for caring for the elderly, this is the job for you.

Competitive pay rates. Newly certified CNAs will start at $18 per hr. Experienced CNAs will start at a higher rate. Uniforms and shoes provided.

Job responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care to residents including bathing, dressing, and other personal care tasks
  • Transport residents to meals and activities
  • Assist nurses with procedures and treatments
  • Assist with restorative therapy and rehabilitative care in collaboration with the Therapy Department
  • Perform clerical duties and document information in the computer
  • Assist family members and visitors

NURSING – CNA TRAINING CLASS

CNA Training Class are being held monthly at Maplewood.

To be considered for our CNA Training Program, please submit a job application (click below to apply online or download an application). We will contact qualified candidates for interviews.

Those accepted into the program will complete a training course and will receive pay during that time. Upon completion of the Training Program and passing the exam, a CNA position will be provided at The Maplewood.

NURSING – UNIT ASSISTANTS

We have several part-time openings for Unit Assistants to work on our care team.

Job responsibilities:

  • Transporting residents in wheelchair to and from meals and activities
  • Assisting with feeding under a nurse’s supervision
  • Answering call bells and summoning nurses/nursing assistants as needed
  • Documenting nutrition information in the computer
  • Restocking toiletries in resident rooms
  • Providing social interaction and companionship to residents

DINING SERVICES – SOUS CHEF/COOK, FULL TIME

Maplewood is seeking a full time Cook to join our talented, innovative dining services team. You will play a vital role in assisting our Chefs with providing tantalizing meals for our 74 residents and their guests.

This position has a set schedule with no late nights and a consistent number of meals served daily. It involves cooking meals and meal preparation.

Pay starts at $16.38 per hour. Higher pay rate for experienced applicants.

DINING SERVICES – BREAKFAST CAPTAIN, FULL TIME, DAYS

We have an opening for a Breakfast Captain in our dining services department, This position will oversee and manage the breakfast meal service in our building. Duties include overseeing the meal service and some actual serving of residents in our two dining rooms. Some kitchen and dining clean up as well as other various duties. Some weekends and holidays required. Set schedule – Days! Steady employment, no shut downs.

Qualifications: 1 year restaurant experience preferred.

Starting rate: $16.38 per hour. Increased start rate is possible depending on experience.

DINING SERVICES – SERVER, DAY SHIFT, PART TIME & FULL TIME AVAILABLE

Our dining servers interact with nursing home residents by taking orders and serving meals. This job is a perfect fit for an outgoing person who understands the importance of quality customer service.

Every other weekend and some holidays required.

  • Competitive pay, starting at $16.25 per hour. Higher starting pay rate possible based on experience.
  • Experience preferred but not required – training provided.

FACILITY MAINTENANCE – FULL TIME

We have a position for a full time person to join our Maintenance team.
8-hour shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing maintenance tasks such as repairing broken locks, sanding, painting, replacing light bulbs and handling plumbing issues.
  • Garden/lawn upkeep including mowing, trimming, weeding, blowing/raking leaves, and watering.
  • Checking functionality of safety systems (example: fire alarm)
  • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
  • Work on a team, reporting to the Director of Facilities

Requirements:

  • Maintenance experience and a clean, valid NYS driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently or on a team, reporting to the Director of Facilities

OUTDOOR MAINTENANCE – SUMMER HELP – FULL TIME

We are hiring summer help to work with the outdoor maintenance crew at Maplewood.

Responsibilities include:

  • Mowing and grass trimming
  • Mulching, watering and weeding gardens
  • Washing windows
  • Outdoor painting and staining

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES – HOUSEKEEPER, FULL TIME, DAY SHIFT

Working in a team environment, this position is responsible for all aspects of maintaining the cleanliness of the nursing home, as well as some laundry duties. All necessary training will be provided. Uniforms provided. Full benefits.

5 days a week, every other weekend required and some holidays.

Competitive pay, starting at $16.25 per hour. Higher starting pay rate possible based on experience.

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES – LAUNDRY AIDE, PART TIME, DAY SHIFT

Working in a team environment, this position is responsible for processes laundry for the nursing home including linens, bedding and resident clothing. All necessary training will be provided.

3 days a week, every other weekend and some holidays.
