NURSING CAREERS - UNIT ASSISTANTS - PART TIME
Interested in pursuing a Nursing Career but not sure where to start? The Maplewood is offering a unique training program to assist you with jump starting a career in nursing!
New hires will be trained as Unit Assistants who are paid an hourly wage and assist with feeding and transporting residents throughout our facility. After becoming trained as a Unit Assistant, you may be offered the opportunity to join our Certified Nurse Assistant training class and be paid while attending class. Once fully certified as a CNA, you will receive a pay raise and you’ll be eligible to participate in our generous tuition reimbursement program should you choose to pursue a career as an LPN or RN.
NURSING - CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANTS
We have several full time and part time openings for experienced CNAs. All shifts available.
Must have active New York State certification.
We have an opening for a full time Sous Chef to join our talented, innovative dining services team. You will play a vital role in assisting the Executive Chef with our Farm-to-Table Menu approach for our 74 residents and their guests. It is imperative that you have a strong culinary background including culinary education and/or experience.
Set schedule - day time hours including every other weekend.
SERVERS - DINING SERVICES
We have several full time and part time positions available in our dining services department. Experience in the food service industry and/or strong customer service experience preferred.

THERAPY AND REHABILITATION - PER DIEM CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (COTA)
We are seeking a Per Diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. We offer a culture that is truly committed to excellence and patient care. This is exampled in the expansive rehabilitation programs that range from in-patient, to out-patient as well as wellness and restorative nursing.
COTA Duties Include:
- Provides comprehensive treatments to Long term care and rehab population, under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
- Maintains good accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each resident
- Complies with CMS guidelines and state licensure Standards of Practice
COTA Requirements Include:
- Graduate of an accredited COTA program
- Current New York State License
- Experience in long-term care settings preferred but New Grads welcomed
- Current CPR Certification
CNA TRAINING CLASS
Our September CNA Training Class is now full. We expect our next CNA Training Class to begin in January 2020.
To be considered for our CNA Training Program, please submit a job application (click below to apply online or download an application). We will contact qualified candidates for interviews. Those accepted into the program will complete a 6-week training course and will receive pay during that time. Upon completion of the Training Program and passing the exam, a CNA position will be provided at The Maplewood.
